Return Policy for PET Preforms & Closures

 

1. Overview

At UBL,  we stand behind the quality of our PET preforms and closures. We are committed to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with every order. This return policy outlines the conditions under which products may be returned, replaced, or credited. Due to the specialized nature of our industrial products, certain restrictions apply to ensure product integrity and safety.

2. General Return Conditions

2.1 Eligibility

Returns will only be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Manufacturing defects verified by our quality control team

  • Incorrect product shipment (wrong item, size, or specification)

  • Damaged products received (must be reported within 24 hours of delivery)

  • Non-conforming products that do not meet agreed specifications

2.2 Timeframe

All return requests must be initiated within 7 calendar days of product receipt. Defective product claims may be submitted up to 30 days from delivery date, provided the defect is manufacturing-related and not caused by improper handling, storage, or processing.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Custom-formulated preforms or closures manufactured to client specifications

  • Products with altered packaging or opened bulk containers (unless defective)

  • Items purchased as clearance or special lot sales

  • Products showing signs of contamination, improper storage, or tampering

  • Products that have been partially used or processed

4. Return Process

4.1 Step 1: Authorization Request

Before returning any products, you must:

  1. Contact our customer service department at [customer service email/phone]

  2. Provide your original order number

  3. Submit clear photographs of the product issue

  4. Complete a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form

4.2 Step 2: RMA Issuance

Once your request is reviewed and approved, we will issue an RMA number valid for 14 days. No returns will be accepted without a valid RMA number clearly marked on the exterior of the return package.

4.3 Step 3: Product Return

  • Products must be returned in original, unopened packaging whenever possible

  • Bulk items must be securely resealed to prevent contamination

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error

  • Recommended use of traceable shipping with insurance

5. Inspection & Resolution

5.1 Inspection Process

Upon receipt of returned goods, our quality control team will:

  • Inspect products within 5-7 business days

  • Verify the claimed issue against original specifications

  • Determine if the issue is manufacturing-related or caused by external factors

5.2 Resolution Options

Based on inspection findings, we will provide one of the following resolutions:

  • Replacement: Defective products will be replaced at no additional cost

  • Credit: Account credit for the verified defective portion of the order

  • Reprocessing: For minor deviations, reprocessing may be offered when applicable

  • Denial: Return request denied with detailed explanation if criteria are not met

6. Shipping & Handling Charges

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return results from our error

  • Replacement products will be shipped at our expense for verified manufacturing defects

7. Quality Guarantee

We guarantee that all PET preforms and closures meet the specifications agreed upon at the time of order. This includes:

  • Material composition and IV values

  • Dimensional specifications and tolerances

  • Color consistency (for colored products)

  • Performance characteristics as documented in product datasheets

8. Limitations of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the verified defective products. We are not responsible for:

  • Consequential damages or lost production time

  • Issues arising from improper storage, handling, or processing

  • Problems resulting from use with incompatible equipment

  • Color matching for non-critical aesthetic applications

9. International Orders

International returns are subject to:

  • Additional inspection time (7-10 business days)

  • Compliance with all export/import regulations

  • Customer responsibility for all duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees

  • Requirement of proper documentation for hazardous materials (if applicable)

10. Claims for Shortages or Damage

10.1 Shortages

Report within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Photographs of received pallets/packages

  • Copy of packing slip

  • Description of missing items

10.2 Visible Damage

  • Note damage on delivery receipt before signing

  • Photograph damage immediately

  • Report within 24 hours of delivery
